Matthew T. McGowan

Matthew T. McGowan was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia. He attended the University of Georgia on an academic scholarship and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and a minor in English.

In the year following his graduation, Matthew worked in the logistics department of a large, international shipping company. During this time, he made the decision to pursue a degree in law. He attended John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, interned at the Augusta-Richmond County Superior Court, and earned his Juris Doctor in 2012. In 2013, Matthew was admitted to the State Bar of Connecticut and joined the Law Offices of Esposito & Annunziata.
Although Matthew grew up in the South, he has many ties to the New Haven area. He is the grandson of John J. Esposito Sr. and the nephew of John J. Esposito Jr. During his youth, he spent a good deal of time in the area visiting family and exploring New England's landmarks. Matthew is thrilled to be the third generation of his family to practice law in New Haven. He appreciates the opportunity to provide excellent legal services to his clients.
